Green alpine pastures, fresh mountain air, clear lakes and a whole variety of recreational opportunities – summer in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena has many faces! You are in just the right place for your summer holiday with the whole family or for your activity and feel-good holiday at Hotel Witt! The most wonderful summer activities are just a stone’s throw away from our three-star hotel.
Discover the variety of a mountain summer and enjoy all the advantages of a mountain summer in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena – and all with just one card! You can use public transport, cable cars, swimming lakes, pools and much more with the Z-Ticket, your activity card for the summer. You can purchase the Z-Ticket for between 3 and 13 consecutive days between May and November and enjoy more experiences on holiday for a lower budget.
The inclusive partners whose services you can use without paying anything at all with the Z-Ticket include, for example, the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn cable car, the summer toboggan run in Biberwier, the indoor tennis courts in Ehrwald or a boat trip on Heiterwangersee and Plansee – there’s bound to be something to suit everyone! You can of course use the cable cars and Bärenbad swimming pool in Berwang close to Hotel Witt with your activity card for the summer too.
And there’s even more holiday fun that is easy on the holiday budget with the Z-Ticket discount partners: take on new sporting challenges with archery or at the golf school in Ehrwald, take a trip back in time at the Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble in Reutte or raft with the whole family at the leisure park in Bichlbach – allowing you to organise your summer holiday in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena really actively!
The cable cars in Berwang and surrounding area take you up high in comfort in summer too. With the Berwang Sonnalmbahn and Almkopfbahn Bichlbach cable cars, you’re up on the beautiful Heiterwanger high-alpine pasture in no time at all from where you can hike up to the Alpkopf peak easily. Or simply enjoy the view from the alpine pasture and then whizz back down to the valley again by mountain scooter to Berwang or further on to Bichlbach.
The Marienberg cable cars in nearby Biberwier are also open for you in the summer and some great holiday fun that’s particularly popular with families awaits you there: Tyrol’s longest summer toboggan run. You can whizz down the mountain for a whole 1,300 metres – including 40 bends and a tunnel! Alternatively, there are also mountain scooters and karts available for all ages here.
But it’s the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn cable car that certainly takes you up the highest, namely to the imposing peak of the Zugspitze, which the region is named after. The Zugspitze is Germany’s tallest mountain and the highest peak in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena at a proud 2,962 metres high. The panoramic view over 4 countries from the peak is a breathtaking sight that you have to have seen: Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland at a glance. And the best thing is: the trip up with the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn cable car is included with the Z-Ticket.
