It’s not just in Berwang and Bichlbach that you can enjoy the outdoors around the Zugspitze, you can also experience holiday villages with exceptional charm and honest Tyrolean hospitality at other places in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena consists of 7 villages in total near the Zugspitze, which it is named after. Besides Berwang and Bichlbach with Lähn and Wengle, there’s also Ehrwald, Lermoos, Heiterwang, Biberwier and Namlos. All the region’s villages can be reached quickly from Hotel Witt in Berwang and entice you with a variety of holiday adventures and experiences.
In Ehrwald, the largest village in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, there are no less than three skiing areas to explore in winter, for example. If you should want to try out new slopes away from Berwang, you can reach Ehrwald in just 20 minutes from Hotel Witt and a spectacular ski show also takes place in Lermoos every Monday evening. A well signposted network of trails invites you to enjoy winter hikes and cross-country skiing throughout the Zugspitz Arena.
The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena also has a great deal to offer in the summer: for example, you get sporty in Ehrwald with golf and climbing and Lermoos has some challenging freeride routes on offer for fans of adrenaline charged downhill action. For relaxing summer days with the whole family we recommend a day trip to one of the beautiful mountain and swimming lakes, for example in Biberwier or Heiterwang. There’s bound to be something for everyone with swimming, diving or a boat trip. And adults and children can explore Tyrol’s longest summer toboggan run in Biberwier.
